Sammy and Sinbad...

We have had 2 losses in the family... one good one bad...

Sammy is no longer with us... She is in Kitty heaven. We are not really sure what happened but our guess is she ate something posinous. We found her 2 weeks ago Saturday morning... and she's buried under the tree in the fround yard. She was a good kitty and I miss her. Poor timing... we just put in a kitty door... Maybe more kittens??? We can't seem to decide.




On a happier note... Sinbad has a new life... He's is now a part of the Weatherby family. He has a nicer and bigger cage, new light and water bowl... Conner and Dana are being great pet parents and are loving it... As for Brenda and Adam... A snake is the easiest pet to have so they are also happy. Oh yeah... and with his new life... he has a new name... Felipe.

Question... are black berries that are hanging over the fence into the shared alleyway fair game to pick and eat... especially if the people who own that property don't even live there?!?!

Sam is a happy kitty now-

She had a tough week and 2 days staying inside-

she couldn't make it the full 2 weeks (and either could we)

It is a very relaxed place to chill out... Templeton gets a great little breeze that runs right through the house! We have had a few little BBQ's and it fits everyone perfectly!

We are still awaiting our final Short Sale Approval from the Bank. But are really ready to sign and make this place truely ours! We will be happy here for many years!!!

PS. we love visitors!!!

We are baaaack... for real!

Our adventure in New Orleans is officially over. We are no longer residents of Louisiana. We sold our house on Shannon Dr and made that drive for the last time.

Sam wanted to come with us to help pack.

I have no clue where this photo was from... honestly it looked all the same. We had mostly good weather, besides Monday evening we stopped because of a some wind and rain.

We drove I10... all the way to CA then up the 101...

Texas is very very long state.

California has the worst roads.

I have a greater respect for truck drivers... it's hard driving a big truck. They cannot go any faster uphill and they cannot stop. That truck was bumpy and loud... but ran like a champ.

We are looking forward to getting all our stuff out of storage and into the house.

As of now we are moving in June 12th. =)

So I first wrote this Blog for Shaw... but since he's awesome and totally trusts me... here is the house that is SUPER Cool that we put an offer in and it just got accepted! I am 99.999% sure he will love it as I do!!! (and all parents)

Garage is off an alleyway. 2 car garage is inclosed and the 3rd is to this carport but secluded from the alley with a one car garage door.

the bedrooms have really neat built-ins. one a desk and one drawers and a shelf.

3rd spare room is large and on the other side of the house for loud guests.

Like 1 mile from work for me and about a mile from the templeton park.

It's pretty private and feels much bigger that .1 of an acre.

This place is move in ready... not much work is needed to be done (which is so much different than any other places we have looked at! )

We are renting from the owners until the sale goes through. We move in June 15th!

Happy thoughts and prayers that this sort sale process will go as smooth as possible.

We are on our way to New Orleans!

We sold our house and are leaving the 13th of May to make the final move!

Looking forward to some time with my lovely lover and seeing all the people we have missed since being here!

Another Update- Shaw's parents have decided and have taken action to add on a bathroom and small kitchen to our bottom bedroom. We are about 3 week away from completion. There has been a lot of banging and dust and some money spent but to not have to crawl up thoes skechy stairs and go through that very noisy door to get to the bathroom while half asleep will be AWESOME. Also eliminating the falling down the stairs factors will also be nice (has only happened twice and its been towards the bottom)

Some Truck News...

Not the most exciting blog... I know... but here goes...

The camper shell that we got for the move is no longer blue! A guy named Jack gave us a great deal and painted it to match.


Another great idea that my lovely husband had... we call it a Tuck Bed Bed!
We ordered some high quality foam from my mom, measured out the wheel wells and sewed covers to fit. We've slept on it two nights so far and they were the best camping sleep we have ever gotten!


A good days work!

And they stack up for easy moving!

Ooooh... it's NICE!

But the best news is as of this month......

Our truck is payed off!
