A Visit!

Meet our friends Josh and Ashley came to visit from Texas... They are super cool! And thank to Ashley we have pictures for a Blog. (good picture)

Our days were busy!!!

We went Kayaking in Shell Beach. Shaw and I had been before in the bay... but getting over the waves and dealing with the swells made us both a little woozy... We were able to explore some caves... kinda creepy and a lot of paddling to get there. (but cool)

Ashley and I waited on the beach for the boys to do a dip... Burrr. This is them RUNNING out...

Shaw taught us about trees... He's always on the look out!

Little Concert at the lake park action...

Ashley being crazy... Like usual!

At the beach!

I decided that her pictures helped me realize what a beautiful place we live in...

Here is some wildlife...

Josh and Ashley... You guys are too cool and thanks a ton for visiting us... now to get you to move out here... hummm.

For my birthday my mom and Curt got me an Apple Tree...

Might be a few years until I get an apple... but I'll be waiting!

Ohhh- and we will be watching this little thing grow as well...

Baby Thompson should be joining us (ready for harvest?!?!) around Thanksgiving.

SNOW... and 5 years...

For our 5 year anniversary and 1st real vacation/honey moon we went to the Shaver Lake and rented this really cool cabin up on the mountain. Since ShawZ has never really seen snow fall we decided going up to the snow would be a great vacation, we got our fair share of snow fall like 4 feet!!!!

Having fun and exploring the area, we found a natural snow man. The scenery was awesome one the most beautiful places we've ever seen, very peaceful and epic you can really feel the power of nature in a place like this.

We had to clean a litttle, kinda by choice. We got cabin fever by day 2 and helped the snow plower guy Ross clear off the deck and driveway also the spa needed some attention. It was fun we felt like the locals. Our poor car had to sleep outside for a night and this is what happened!! No worries though we gave him a bath as soon as we got home;)
Thanks to our Via Vega friends for the wine, it is cool(no pun intended) having an extra fridge outside.
Chillin out took up a majority of our time, it was nice and warm especially with the new custom headband thanks to Heidi. It reminded us off Frodo Land and it was very easy to slip away into the scenery. We hope to make it a annual event and want to thank all our friends (Mike and Lauren Dorian, Justin and Shorty, Jared and Brooks Pecot) for making the trip up and celebrating our 5 wonderfull years of marriage. WHOOP WHOOP!!!

love ShawZ

what we've been up too...

So I want to appoligize to all my faithful blog followers... a 3 of you... Here is a little that has been going on... we have been busy playing and working...
We have been enjoying the sunshine and weather...
Bear Bear and I at the cayucos beach...
(woody was there too... playing with the other dogs)

Lazing around... I love all my animals love eachother.

I really think Fooman is a dog. Last night the dogs were barking at something outside and he ran across the house to get out the cat door to go see what they were barking at... Choo is camera shy.

I have been working... this is my home station where I have been running remote neurofeedback sessions with athletes from all over. To start it has mostly been with a tennis company in New Jersey. It's awesome being able to be in pj pants and slippers and just needing to look presentable on top. I am enjoying this new direction that Neurotopia is going... (http://www.neurotopia.com/)

Our closet redo... Shaw is usually right... He amazes me all the time. And it was his idea to rip out the wall. Before we had a hall way to the bathroom and a hall way like closet. Shaw got the back (cause he's a dude) and slide back and have his back to that wall to see what to wear for the day... So out came the wall...

So... now we have a walk through closet... It's great. Some new nicer shelves, rods and shoe storage makes a huge difference. So much more room. In the process we also found out that we have original hardwood floors =) They seem a little beat... but that project will be a future blog... (who knows how future...)

My husband is so handy... going in the attic to install the surround sound...

Our last and most recient project has been installing a slinding glass door to replace the french doors. Only one door was able to open and that one would barely clear the bed...
Before...

And now... Looks so much better... lets in a ton more light during the day.
Love it.

Woody has been going to work as well... Every sunday morning his job to get the paper. He know we say... "woody gotta go to work today" and "get the paper" We let him out and he runs and gets it...
"get the paper" gets Bear Bear very excited as well... because he knows that woody will get paid (treats) which means he gets one just for woody going to work... Aww the simple things to get excited for. And us... a picture I just found that has been on the camera since Christmas... Probally the reason why I did not do a christmas blog... forgot I had pictures...

=)

a deck...

We built a deck...

The deck is near the spa, right off our bedroom door and deck. It was a bit of a waste of space that the dogs would lay in to get nice and dirty.

framing...

Shawz working hard...

Bear Bear and Woody both enjoy it... laying and playing on it before it was even finished... they still have plenty of dirt to roll around in... so don't worry about them.

relaxing and sitting for the 1st time in 6 hours... a long but productive day!

It's Done!!!
My husband is soooo handy!
